Vancouver Singing Christmas Tree

Broadway Church’s “Singing Christmas Tree” is a well-established Vancouver tradition, now in its 46th year in serving the Lower Mainland. The 2012 Christmas presentation was seen by close to 20,000 people. It featured a 140+ voice choir, vocal ensembles and 35+ piece orchestra intermingled with compelling drama and dance and stunning visual effects – a special 90 minute festive presentation designed with the whole family in mind.

  • It’s a new presentation every year,
  • and is a performance you won’t want to miss!
  • This year’s 2013 story is entitled “A Return To Christmas”.

The story takes place in the 1940′s when the circus disbands for the holidays, except for a few characters who don’t have family or friends to go to. As a result, they must continue to look after the circus until they continue the show in the New Year. The problem? The circus is losing money, and the ringmaster puts the pressure on the circus performers to improve their acts. This creates stress and reveals challenges, conflicts and pressures that will lead us inevitably to the Christmas story. Mingled with humour and laughter, as well as – for the first time ever – professional circus performers including one from the famous Cirque du Soleil troop Las Vegas (!!!), this entertaining story teaches that we all have choices when hardships come into our lives. “The same sun that hardens clay softens wax.” demonstrates that our responses to difficulties determine our future life direction. Come join us this year and see what the buzz is all about! Make it a part of your annual Christmas tradition!
